Lisa Kane and Kieran Folliard are proud to foster pollinator health and regenerative farming by sourcing from local family farmers that use sustainable practices with positive impacts for pollinators. Lisa and Kieran are avid travelers and hikers along with their big poodle by their side. They appreciate the wild and natural areas all around the world. Their home is right here in Minnesota where they founded Baker’s Field Flour & Bread. Baker's Field Flour & Bread is a wholesale flour mill and bakery, stone-milling whole grains into fresh flour and naturally leavened breads and pastries sourced directly from small family farmers and based out of the FOOD BUILDING in Northeast Minneapolis.
The Vanasse Family of Bare Honey not only keeps hundreds of honey bee hives thriving, they are also helping to develop pollinator oases and collecting SolarGrown Honey™ from hives placed upon solar arrays. These solar farms are planted with flowering habitat that has been scientifically designed to provide a regenerative refuge for pollinators. These innovative solar energy farms are reclaiming native habitat, previously lost to industrialized agriculture. Solar Based Beekeeping™ is giving back to the environment through the pollination of plots of pollinator habitat. Their mission is to create wholesome products that not only taste great, but are also healthy for their families and the environment. Every purchase of Bare Honey lets industrial agriculture know that we want our food products to be real, raw, and pure.
Craig Hansen & Karen Ciegler Hansen have been strong supporters of Pollinator Friendly Alliance from the very start. They find home in the wild and natural areas of Minnesota and beyond. Craig and Karen spent their earlier days exploring the same woods near their childhood homes (they grew up only a mile apart), a connection to nature that they have maintained throughout their lives. From insects to Sequoia, the Hansens keep informed on conservation efforts and spend much of their time and energy creating positive environmental impacts in their community. Both are life-long volunteers in the St. Croix River Valley. Craig currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Pollinator Friendly Alliance. Karen is a volunteer at Belwin Conservancy and is a former board member of Wild Rivers Conservancy. They live in Stillwater and have had a pollinator-friendly yard for 20+ years (before it was cool).
